Job Title : Field Service Engineer I – US

Job purpose

The Field Service Engineer I– USisresponsibleforperformingscheduledserviceworkonsystems within a service area, and some unscheduled work in the service area with theassistanceof technical support, as directed. This position will be responsible for repair work to ultrasound and related equipment.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Performspreventativemaintenanceasdirected.

  • Performsunscheduledmaintenanceworkwiththeassistanceoftechnicalsupport.

  • Isabletoworkindependentlyonpreventativemaintenancework,buttypicallyrequires assistance on unscheduled maintenance work.

  • Performsinstallationsandde-installationsofproductsandawidevarietyofperipheral equipment as directed with someassistance.

  • Mustmaintainexcellentworkingrelationswithfieldpersonnel,homeofficepersonnel,andmanagement.

  • Mustmaintaintimelyand effective communications with management team to escalate issues and customer concerns.Performs the administrative duties associated with the job, including electronic expense reports, weekly timecards, electronic reporting functions such asworkorders,serviceappointments,starttimes,partsinventory,consumptionandreturns, assigned computer-based training, and QA/RA work.

  • Keepuptodateonadministrativeresponsibilitiessuchasmaintainingcustomerservice orders and internal service records per Fujifilm policies.

  • Maintaindailycommunicationswithcustomerstoensureresolutionandproperfollow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.

  • Utilizingtheescalationprocesstoresolvecustomerservicedeliveryissuesandconducting root cause analysis that will lead to effective problem solving.

  • Ensuresthatalladministrativedutiesandpaperworkarecompletedneatly,accurately,andsubmittedpromptly.

  • Mustbepreparedtoworkoddhoursand overtimehoursonoccasionandtravelasrequired.

  • Promote service contract and extended warranty to billable customer and current customer under service contract for renewal as directed

  • Responsibleformaintainingexceptionalcustomerrelations.

  • Responsibleformaintenanceofassigned tools/testequipment andspareparts.

  • Responsibletoreturnpartsintherequiredtimeframe.

  • Responsibletopromote,bothinternaltothecompanyandexternally,theimageand reputation of HCUS.

  • Establishes andmaintainscollaborative relationships with business strategy, sales, marketing, clinical application support, operation, accounting,financeand other related divisions to support successful ultrasound business

  • Performsotherdutiesasassigned

  • ComplywithallapplicableU.S.FoodandDrugAdministration(U.S.FDA)medicaldevice regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards

Qualifications

  • Associatesdegreeinelectricalengineering,electronicsorcomputersciencediscipline,or equivalent experience.

  • Minimumoneyearofpreviousfieldserviceexperience.

  • Knowledgeof assigned equipmentto providetimelyrepair and effectivemaintenance.

  • Requiresactivelisteningskillsandaboveaveragecustomerserviceskills.

  • Requiressoundorganizationandadministrativeskills,self-starteramustalongwithability tomaintainpaperwork to FDA and company required standards.

  • Excellentanalyticalandcommunicationskillswiththeabilitytocommunicatetechnical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.

  • Capableofoperatingtestequipmentrelatedtojob(oscilloscope,meter,anddiagnostic testers, etc.).

  • Validdriver’slicense andsafedrivingrecord.

  • Thisactivityoccursoccasionallyandperiod/prolongedinthelowerback.Itoccurs with a variety ofthe tasks.

  • Kneeling/Crawling/Crouching :

  • Thisactivityoccursoccasionallyandperiodic/prolonged.Itoccursprimarilyinthe wiring process as well as accessing the lower panels oftheUSproducts.

  • Balancing :

  • Thisactivityoccursrarelyandperiodicandoccurswhentheworkerisstandingon the ladder as mentioned above.

  • Twisting :

  • Thisactivityoccursrarelyandperiodicallyinthelowback.Itmayoccurwithsomeof the tasks performed.
