Position Summary

The purpose of this job is to provide security system expertise to the company to ensure such matters as workforce surety programs are properly designed, implemented, and operated, and that quality security systems are specified, properly installed, correctly configured, and are operated to meet the requirements defined by our Operational Security minimum controls for the facility physical security risks. This protects the company's physical assets and workforce.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily security program operations support. In addition to work in first column, this would also include issue and problem resolution, limited process design, testing and peer-review functions.

• Provide project support and complete work tasks assigned by security projects (such as vendor selections, program designs, technology changes, or facility changes). This may include initial design work, process definition, review of other's work, and status report development and delivery to management.• Complete basic administrative tasks such as time reporting, status updates, etc., to support administrative, safety, or other management program execution.

Required/Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree• 1 plus year(s) related work experience• In lieu of Bachelor's degree(s) AND 1 plus year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 7 plus year(s) related work experience

Desired Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Computer Technology or• Associate's degree in Law Enforcement and Security or• Associate's degree in Criminal Justice• PSP

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to professionally interact with, and present to internal and external personnel.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent collaborator

  • Flexible

  • Technical expertise in the areas of PSIM, CCTV/digital recording system, access control systems, intrusion detection applications and system integration.

  • Ability to travel across regions

  • Advanced knowledge of security systems basis of design concepts and specifications.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment

  • Field environment to include Generating stations, sub stations, operation centers, hydro facilities, etc.

  • Occasional overnight domestic and infrequent international travel

  • Extended hours during periods of security risk and/or regulatory compliance events or during periods of heightened security threats

  • After hours availability
