ICONMA, LLC Engineer - Mechanical II/ Fluids/Mechanical Design Engineer in United States

Description: Responsibilities: Fluids systems design and development, including developing specifications and procurement of components, designing of parts and assemblies in CAD, performing trade studies, and analysis of test data Interpreting and generating Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Design and/or create specifications for fluid/gas components i.e., solenoid valves, directional valves, manifolds, regulators, pressure vessels and instrumentation Develop and maintain interface definitions between fluid systems and other vehicle subsystems Design and analyze custom components for fluid, thermal and structural applications Perform component verification of internally and externally sourced components to company standards Coordinate with other subsystem teams to ensure operability and fitment Good project management skills are necessary in this role to be successful including vendor management. Qualifications: B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field 2+ years of experience in aerospace propulsion and fluid systems Experience in 3D CAD programs, drawing creation, piping applications, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) programs (ANSYS Preferred). Experience performing flow and pressure calculations as well as structural and thermal analysis of fluid systems Experience handling large assemblies in CAD Knowledge of design for manufacturability for a variety of manufacturing methods (CNC machining, cold forming, welding, additive manufacturing) Knowledge of standard installation and fabrication methods of fluid systems (tube stock, fittings, connections, fasteners, welding, etc.) Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of team work and inclusion Desired: Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field Experience with additive manufacturing for end-use applications Experience qualifying components and systems for air or space flight Experience with Creo, Creo Piping and Windchill Tubing (200+ tubes to release in 2 months)
