The Director Sales-Retail Accounts is responsible for overseeing and managing the relationships with key retail partners and distributors. This role involves developing and executing strategic plans to drive sales growth, enhance brand presence, and ensure customer satisfaction within the retail channel. The Director of Retail Sales and Distribution will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retail accounts and distributors. Serve as the primary point of contact for retail partners. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional activities. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales growth and market share within the retail channel. Determine & implement a distributor strategy Outline strategy to expand geographically Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy. Sales Performance: Set sales targets and monitor performance against goals. Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure alignment and execution of sales strategies. Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns. Ensure that retail partners have the necessary marketing materials and support. Coordinate product launches and in-store promotions. Product Management: Collaborate with product development teams to ensure the retail product portfolio meets market demands. Provide feedback from retail partners to inform product development and improvements. Supply Chain Coordination: Work with the supply chain team to ensure product availability and timely delivery. Address any supply chain issues that may impact retail partners. Customer Satisfaction: Monitor and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction among retail partners. Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by retail partners. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in retail account management or sales, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role. Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing key retail accounts. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Working Conditions: Full-time position. Occasional travel may be required to meet with retail partners and attend industry events. COMPENSATION RANGE: $140,000.00 to $165,000.00. Compensation is determined on experience and skill.
