What we want

The Office of Admissions is seeking a Program Manager who will operate as a member of the Admissions Data Analytics, CRM & Communications (DACC) team to provide development and support of the CRM System (Slate) in use by the Graduate and Professional School and its constituents for the Office of Admissions as well as other university internal and external constituents. We need an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. Time management, flexibility, meticulous organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a motivated self-starter are all crucial for success in this position. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in Slate, and will be responsible for daily CRM System maintenance, and the management of CRM System constituents, as well as other CRM Analyst’s tasked with System support. What you need to know

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000/Annually (Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience).

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5 years of project or program management experience, production experience with software application development, and/or System management experience, to include two years of supervisory experience.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Must demonstrate a commitment to consultation and cooperation with students , faculty, staff and administrators.

  • Must possess strong project management skills, with the ability to lead a team.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to visualize, organize, and provide feedback to Leadership.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities at one time; assist with the planning, installation and operation, and effective utilization of multiple software platforms.

  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Strong verbal and communication skills.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to work in a varied environment with a varied population representing various interests and perspectives is essential.

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree.

  • 4 or more years of experience in project or program management.

  • Previous experience working in higher education admissions or related field with organizational processes.

  • Previous experience with CRM, document imaging software, admissions and/or university software including Technologies Slate and Ellucian Banner.

  • Experience with data visualization software (Tableau).

  • Familiarity with one or more web and data tools such as HTML, SQL, XML, JavaScript, etc.

  • Basic Level Slate Operator Certification. Project Management Certificate.

  • Detail-oriented approach to program management.

  • Ability to function in a deadline- driven environment with multiple projects and programs simultaneously.

  • Prior knowledge of Slate CRM, or ability to demonstrate a high aptitude to learn.

    Responsibilities 

    System Management

  • Serves as the technical expert for the Graduate and Professional School Slate CRM System Configuration, ensuring quality management while making required updates to the Graduate CRM System necessary to recruit, evaluate, and select a competitive student body, including the building, testing, evaluation, and release of system updates.

  • Responsible for assisting in the shared maintenance of the Undergraduate and Graduate Slate CRM System, maintaining data integrity, enforcing security protocols, ensuring compliance with institutional rules and regulations, and overall continuity across both CRM Systems.

  • Develops dashboards and data tools to enable various constituent groups to see and track impact of communications campaigns and initiatives on enrollment.

  • Works to resolve data conflicts, supports import of data from other agencies, and monitors Slate CRM System for data integrity.

  • Assists with tasks such as user management and roles, permissions, query building, including administrative communication support, unit and security testing, security planning, and general troubleshooting.

  • Works closely with units to develop process improvement plans through detailed analysis and planning.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

​CRM Program Management, Training, & Advancement

  • Research and evaluates new System functionality to be evaluated by DACC team leadership.

  • Assists in data analysis, research, and resource gathering.

  • Maintains a relationship with Slate CRM System vendor to resolve any issues and optimize System usage.

  • Expert in new System functionality, gathers business process requirements, creates technical specifications, and develops and/or coordinates the implementation of new System functionality, as directed by the Graduate and Professional School.

  • Establishes working relationships with university agencies, departments, counselors, and advisors to enhance customer service and satisfaction.

  • Oversees the development of training materials, and workshops to be hosted across the university and in off campus to meet the unique needs of each System user group in CRM.

  • Some independent travel is required.

Supervisory/CRM Team Management

  • Serves as a leader on the Data Analytics, CRM Communications team.

  • Provides oversight and daily supervision to direct reports by assigning daily, weekly, and annual tasks and projects.

  • Contributes in team meetings and coordinates closely with the Data Analytics, CRM, & Communication leadership team in regards to constituent management, program management, internal staff training, and maintaining System data security and integrity.

  • Ensures development opportunities are available for professional growth of employees.

  • Provides objective feedback to employees, including but not limited to, probationary and annual performance evaluations.

​Professional Development

  • Serves on office search and planning committees.

  • Attends and presents at state, regional, and/or local conferences.

  • Represents the Office of Admissions on campus, within the community, and/or at the state level when needed
