Job Title: Estimator - Transportation - Paving
OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction estimating and possess a strong understanding of cost control and negotiation techniques.
Duties- Utilize software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam for accurate construction cost estimation- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine accurate pricing- Collaborate with construction managers to develop project budgets- Conduct on-site visits to assess construction requirements- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing- Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, and equipment- Review and interpret construction contracts to ensure compliance with pricing terms
Qualifications- Proven experience in construction estimating and project pricing- Proficiency in using construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam- Strong knowledge of construction management principles- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment- Excellent communication and negotiation skills- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred
