Overview

Lead and oversee the development of strategic commercial offers and contracts that deliver value through innovative production models, efficiencies, mitigating risk and ensuring sound operations across new and existing clients. Strategic financial business partner to Growth Team supporting pursuit of new client pitches as well as new opportunities with existing clients. This will include negotiating fees and contractual relationship with client procurement, supporting the relevant Growth Leads on all commercial matters, communicating the agreed deal to finance team and assisting in client onboarding. Knowledge of commercial contracts terms and relevant fee propositions is essential. Teamwork, proactivity, and ability to meet deadlines is very important to thrive as part of an agile Growth Team. Reports to CFO, Publicis Groupe USA Production Services.

Responsibilities

  • Build commercial proposals for new business pitches, collating operational and global hub responses, and streamlining into one compelling offer.

  • Develop new commercial models in close partnership with Growth Leads and Global Commercial Finance team to support innovative production models including tools, tech, and global delivery.

  • Champion value-based solutions within commercial discussions where appropriate.

  • Provide guidance and benchmarks for staffing models that drive profitability.

  • Partner with Client Leads, Project Management and Production Leads and client stakeholders on contract renewals.

  • Partner with Global teams and other Groupe solution hubs as needed to develop joint Power of One commercial offers.

  • Collect data to support Commercials-related reporting for key stakeholders.

  • Own standard production pricing and rate cards including regular benchmarking to ensure rates are competitive in the marketplace.

  • Ensures that Salesforce opportunities are kept up to date and reflect the latest status and revenue projections.

  • Build best practices, playbooks and automation into commercial workflows.

  • Establish an archive for all related materials.

  • Work with legal, be accountable for the development and agreement of MSAs.

  • Educate finance and operational teams around development of commercial proposals and negotiation skills.

  • Develop relationships with the procurement community and intermediaries.

  • Acts as a strategic advisor to the Growth Lead on all commercial finance matters.

  • Partners with FP&A on monthly forecasting process to ensure that new business pipeline is properly reflected in the forecast.

General Success Metrics and KPIs:

  • Revenue conversion on new business pitches

  • Sustainability of contribution margin health and improvement over extended period

  • Subjective assessment of contribution to development of commercial proposals, including sustainability over extended period, improved investment insight and price benchmarking

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, master’s degree preferred

  • 15+ years of progressive experience

  • Commercial negotiation experience required

  • Production experience strongly preferred

  • Experience with negotiating MSAs/contract terms, scopes of work and other related legal documents

  • Ability to quickly build relationships across a large matrixed organization.

  • Teamwork, proactivity, and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Exceptional organization and listening skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Use creativity and innovation to problem solve.

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and advanced Excel.

Additional information

Compensation Range: $119,510 - $201,200 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this

position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on

the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the

Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical

coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. The Company anticipates the application deadline
