Western Carolina University Clinical Assistant Professor - Physical Therapy - #182784 in United States

Minimum Qualifications:

Education -

  • Clinical doctorate degree ( DPT ) from an accredited institution

  • Current ABPTS board certification and/or completed a residency or fellowship

  • PT degree with eligibility for PT license in the state of North Carolina – must be licensed at the time of hire

  • Five years of clinical experience in physical therapy

Teaching -

  • Contemporary expertise in the noted teaching areas

Scholarship -

  • Record of scholarship and/or a clear plan for a future scholarly agenda

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Academic doctorate degree (PhD, EdD, DHSc, DSc, or ScD)

  • Commitment to community engagement through teaching, service, and scholarship

  • Prior teaching experience in a physical therapy education program with evidence of strong teaching skills, use of instructional technology, and commitment to learner success

  • Highly organized
