Business Development Manager Biological Wastewater Treatment (m/f/d)

Essential duties:

  • Identify and execute business development initiatives that will help expand our presence and position within target markets

  • Provide support for all our European Country Teams (CTs), throughout the sales cycle. Supporting with customer targeting, prospecting, proposals, pricing, contracts, negotiations, and closing (Rental and Sales) as well as customer site visits

  • Maintain our European opportunity funnel for Biological Wastewater Treatment Technologies

  • Forecast demand for new rental assets such as Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) and manage the process of introducing new rental assets into the European fleet

  • Ensure our fleet mix/profile reflects our customer's needs as well as our strategic goals

  • Identify opportunities to better integrate Xylem products to be able to deliver end-to-end engineered solutions

  • Key point of connection between external European suppliers and our internal engineering teams and product management

  • Work with a wide spectrum of stakeholders (internal and external) to raise, track, and fulfill orders of rental systems

  • Oversee on-time delivery of customer orders, providing the internal stakeholders with regular updates

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering/ Environmental Engineering etc.)

  • More than 4 years’ experience in Business Development Management / Sales, experience within industrial or municipal industries preferred

  • Working knowledge of wastewater treatment applications

  • Proven track record in cooperating with and influencing stakeholders and colleagues within a global matrix organization

  • Strong customer orientation and a sense of customer needs

  • Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently with initiative in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal, communication & teamwork skills

  • High energy, motivated, proactive, solution-oriented, and positive

  • Hands-on and pragmatic mentality with a drive for results

  • Willingness to travel (up to 30% within Europe) and intercultural competence

  • Good knowledge of English both orally and in writing

  • Driving license
