AON Broker II - Credit & Political Risk in United States

Aon is looking for a Broker II – Credit & Political Risk

Currently, we have an exciting career opportunity for a Broker II preferably in our New York, NY office or would consider candidates in our Chicago, IL or Washington DC locations. This role is supporting our Crisis Management Group, specifically with the political risk team.

What the day will look like

  • Provide outstanding and timely service and support to clients, relationship managers and originators

  • Identify and analyze client exposures

  • Facilitate the compilation of submission information in conjunction with clients, relationship managers, originators and service center support

  • Finalize market submissions.

  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of products and services, developing productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters

  • Provide status updates and continuous support and service to clients during entire placement process and entire period of engagement by client (this is a continuous process)

  • Handle and monitor premiums to prevent policy cancellation

  • Drive utilization of all available technology throughout placement process and client service process, including managing files for each client or prospect.

  • Develop, execute and implement client service plan

  • Understand the causes of E&O and avoid and adopt practices to reduce exposure

  • Adhere to all best practices

  • Replicate effective products/solutions

  • Retain and grow assigned clients/prospects

  • Recognize and develop opportunities

  • Adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior in all activities

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    Special skills:

  • Candidate must have good analytical skills, with a focus on client operations, financials, and industry expertise.

  • The position requires strong multi-tasking abilities and client facing skills.

  • Excellent communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to deal with people are a must

    Required experience:

  • Solid understanding of global trade and finance and business environments.

  • 2+ years of job experience within a broker role.

    Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in International Relations, Political Science, International Economics or related field with MBA considered a plus

    Pay Transparency Laws:

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $125,000 - $150,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

    This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
