The Joint Commission Associate Director, Business Development SME - West Region in United States
Overview
N ationwide Search - Selected candidate can be located anywhere in the Western Region of the United States.
Responsible for being the subject matter expert (SME), representing The Joint Commission’s full certification portfolio,across defined health systems and segments. Musthave extensive knowledge of Acute healthcare systems, providers, and markets. Provide guidance and counsel to new and existing Accreditation and Certification organizations (A&COs) to advance the common mission and the benefits of adopting The Joint Commissions offerings related to Certifications. Will work closely with the acute leadership team, support their efforts, to derive a sound strategy to accelerate the Joint Commission growth, while ensuring mission development around patient safety. Will work with internal partners across several functions: product development, standards, marketing, payer relations.
Partner with MDOE associates on business development strategies. Will be expected to travel up to 50%.
Responsibilities
Identify and present to customers how your solutions can improve current business processes
Provide clinical and technical guidance during the sales process to the sales team and potential customers to ensure that deals are closed consistently
Accountable for a revenue target and growth target within the defined account list
Help with sales enablement and content development for the launch of new solutions
Influence our product strategy by effectively communicating feedback from customers and prospects, as well as working with the product team to develop new product features
Meet with potential customers and current customers to ascertain their pain points
Lead the design and delivery of solutions for customers
Communicate the technology vision to business leaders
Create and lead workshops for customers to cultivate a deep understanding of the solution
Represent the company at industry events and panels
Partner with Mission Development representatives to plan, prepare and execute strategic deals
Drive strategic client discovery to prepare sales pitches
Act as a subject matter expert on our product for RFPs
Identify and communicate client needs to the product development team for features enhancements or creations
Craft comprehensive strategic account plans that align with both the new and existing A&CO objectives and the mission driven solutions offered by TJC. Outline the strategies to drive growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and build long-term partnerships and execute on those plans.
Build and nurture strong relationships with each organization and engage regularly to understanding the organizations’ internal structure, key decision-makers, and area of opportunity to improve patient safety and quality of care.
Leverage knowledge and insights to existing A&COs to identify opportunities for deploying new solutions. Propose relevant additions to the organizations current offerings that enhance the joint mission shared related to patient safety and quality of care while continuing to expand access to quality healthcare across the nation.
Provide customer feedback on products, services, or new opportunities to the Innovation team responsible for Standards revisions, additions, exclusions, clinical advances, and customer needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree with 5 years of sales experience preferably in Acute healthcare
5 Years of experience, driving business development within the healthcare landscape, calling on service line executives
Having a clinical provider background is strongly preferred, but not required (RT, MT, MLT, RN, RPh, etc). If not holding a provider background, then prior experience, working within the Acute Healthcare setting is required
Proven ability to drive organizational results and elevate customer satisfaction.
Proven ability to drive strategic growth and drive long term partnerships with organizations.
Must excel in relationship building and having a customer centric mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels within an organization with ability to tailor communications to a specific audience.
