PURPOSE
The Assignments Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the assignment and placement of students in Islander Housing at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. This individual will work collaboratively with the Associate Director of Housing Administration and the Housing Operations team to ensure that all housing assignments are made in a timely and effective manner.
DESCRIPTION
Functional Area 1: Administrative
Percent Effort: 70%
Coordinate the assignment and placement of students in Islander Housing, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed.
Communicate with students, families, and staff regarding housing assignments and provide information on housing options and availability.
Process housing applications, maintain accurate records and ensure data confidentiality.
Manage room change requests, cancellations, and refunds, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Inputs student room and dining information into housing and university StarRez database systems.
Manage residency requirement exemption process.
Functional Area 2: Customer Service
Percent Effort: 20%
Communicate with students, families, and staff regarding housing assignments and provide information on housing options and availability.
Help manage Fall early arrival applications and bookings through phone and email communication
Functional Area 3: Collaboration
Percent Effort: 10%
Work with Housing Operations team to coordinate move-in and move-out, ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
Work collaboratively with the Housing Operations and Residence Life team to ensure that all housing assignments are made in a timely and effective manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
Two (2) years of related experience in Student Housing and/or Student Affairs or other applicable field.
Additional education and/or experience may be considered as a substitution for the minimum experience requirements: High school diploma/GED and six (6) years of related experience, Associate's degree and four (4) years of related experience, Master's degree.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Ability to represent Islander Housing in a professional demeanor in person, on the phone and in written correspondences.
Must be detail oriented with excellent management and organizational skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with StarRez, Banner, and Microsoft Office.
SALARY: $43,888/annually, approximately.
$3,657.34/monthly.
