Our client, an international consulting firm, is seeking a consulting Aerospace TSO Certification Engineer to join their team. As a TSO Certification Engineer, you will be part of the Consulting Team supporting major Aerospace companies nationwide. The ideal candidate will have strong senior level Aerospace product testing and certification skills which will align successfully in the organization. This position is indefinite W2 consulting nationwide based remotely from home with heavy travel to Aerospace clients primarily in the Western US.

Job Title: Aerospace TSO Certification Engineer

Location: Nationwide US

Pay Range: $70-$90/hr DOE plus Benefits

What’s the Job?

  • Develop and manage certification test plans, reports, and tools to ensure compliance with regulatory and OEM requirements, while maintaining accurate records.

  • Collaborate with project teams to define scope, schedule, risks, and design details, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.

  • Oversee and assist with test article builds, conformity, and review prototype designs, identifying necessary changes for certification.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on certification, including flammability, testing, design compliance, and aircraft integration, while developing internal best practices.

  • Interface with airlines, OEMs, FAA, and suppliers, staying updated on industry issues and representing the company at relevant meetings.

What’s Needed?

  • BS degree in Engineering or similar

  • In-depth knowledge of certification test equipment, TSO processes, FAA regulations, and testing procedures (dynamic, static, and flammability).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills, with the ability to analyze regulatory requirements and advisory materials.

  • Proficiency in communication, both oral and written, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Familiarity with FAA (Part 21 and Part 25), Airbus, Boeing requirements, and experience with AutoCAD, CATIA V5, and Microsoft Office.
