Accounts Receivable Supervisor

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Supervisor will lead a cross-functional team and will assist/support the AR Manager in the coordination of AR functions and staff ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, goals and core values.

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor reports to the Accounting Shared Services Manager.

Location: Remote, USA

Compensation Range: $58,000 - $64,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Set an example as a positive role model.

  • Understand company and departmental goals, and effectively communicate goals to team members.

  • Ensure team is meeting performance expectations and hold team members accountable.

  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to handle workload.

  • Manage team resources to meet department month end and year end deadlines.

  • Handle dilemmas independently and raise issues with manager when necessary.

  • Recognize customer needs and provide a high level of customer service.

  • Seek continuous improvement; encourage ideas to improve processes.

  • Monitor progress and seek training opportunities to ensure individual and team success.

  • Provide direction and develop team members to maximize their personal and professional growth.

  • Maintain positive cross-departmental relationships within Lithia.

  • Proactively communicate with manager.

  • Maintain confidentiality to protect customer privacy.

  • Support changes to department structure and processes.

  • Organize daily workflow to maximize efficiencies.

  • Weekly and month end analytics and reporting.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

The following knowledge, skills and abilities are needed to be successful in this position:

  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).

  • Active Listening – give full attention to the words and body language of others, take time to understand the points being made and ask questions as appropriate.

  • Critical Thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

  • Time Management – ability to prioritize workload and manage one’s own time.

  • Previous customer service experience.

  • Previous Supervisory or leadership experience

  • Experience working in collections or accounting preferred
