Oracle Principal Product Engineer in Taiwan

Job Description

Detailed Job Description:

  • Oracle is looking for a Principal Product Engineer with strong technical knowledge and experience working with high-end GPU based platforms.

  • Capable of working with minimum direction, supervision and oversight in a remote location relative to headquarters.

  • Ability to understand and debug complex technical problems associated with GPU architecture and high-end servers using a thorough, rigorous and disciplined approach to problem solving.

  • Deep and broad understanding of hardware and software elements, and well and end-to-end manufacturing and test operations, of GPU based platforms.

  • Manage and drive GPU suppliers across multiple Geos to meet Oracle's product, quality, and delivery requirements.

  • Strong written and verbal skills, ability to summarize and uplevel technical details and present to senior management, as well as communicate technical details to design engineering and operations teams.

  • Strong data analysis and data mining skills enabling candidate to monitor quality performance, debug complex technical problems, perform RCA, and drive closed-loop preventive corrective action to maximize factory yields and capacity utilization.

  • Broad and deep technical expertise of all processes (technical and general) associated with manufacturing and test of PCBAs through L10 level systems

  • Experience leading Product Engineering NPI and Sustaining Operations teams

  • Possess the technical expertise and resourcefulness, as well as diligence and rigor in driving DF*, NPI planning, FA/RCCA closure, and maximizing test coverage, to ensure that manufacturing impacting issues are surfaced and resolved during NPI, and prevented from escaping post product release.

  • Leadership skills demonstrating strong critical thinking, judgement, decision making, attention to detail, and technical skills to enable development and deployment of a mature process, supply chain, and products during NPI.

  • Proven track record of ability to challenge and drive internal and external suppliers to deliver decisions that enable Oracle to release and sustain a best in class product and process.

  • Strong influencing skills to drive improvement opportunities at suppliers, as well as manufacturability and testability attributes with design engineering teams during the NPI design phase.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in partnership with cross-functional teams in and highly dynamic, demanding and fast-paced environment while juggling competing priorities.

  • Resourceful and motivated to self-learn and remain current on related GPU industry trends, technology, and processes

  • Strong drive and execution; agile and adaptive to changes; flexible and innovative (think outside the box to bring innovative suggestions and solutions to difficult challenges).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science In Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or higher

  • Strong technical GPU background and experience with a minimum of 5 years experience working on high-end GPU based platforms, preferably Nvidia and AMD

  • Experience managing technical and process elements of contract manufacturers and end-to-end supply chain operations

  • Expert knowledge of GPU technology as well as manufacturing and design aspects of the GPU and associated architecture

  • Knowledgeable in various GPU diagnostics tools

Language:

English (fluent in speaking, reading, and writing), Spanish (speaking and understanding) is a plus,
