To contribute ongoing business transformation, Aon is looking for an experienced candidate to join the CEE regional operations team as CEE Operations and Governance Coordinator to support governance and risk management from the deployment of strategic operational projects to partnering with country leadership teams.

What the day will look like

The CEE Operations and Governance Coordinator will be the primary focal point for 10 countries working across multiple business units to review, prioritise and coordinate the deployment of operational excellence solutions in partnership with stakeholders across the organization. The position holder will play a central coordination role in the development and rollout of regional strategic initiatives, including the deployment of Aon operational support models plus regulatory and internally driven risk and governance programs. Main responsibilities will be:

  • Establish and drive a governance roadmap in alignment with regional strategic priorities

  • Manage the deployment of a governance framework, with a focus on centralising country support and grow a sub-regional support model

  • Ensure roles and responsibilities related to governance are enforced with appropriate accountability

  • Coordinate training and tools to support business and functional units in their governance awareness and compliance

  • Closely collaborate with peers in the Data Privacy, Security and Risk functions

  • Support related assurance programs and activities to enhance risk mitigation for the firm

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    The candidate is expected to have a functional understanding of operational systems (e.g. communication between databases, complex systems/data workflows, user experience, etc.) and business controls environment/processing. The candidate should also bring in:

  • Strong understanding of the requirements for operational excellence and 5+ years’ experience ideally within a regulated industry (insurance/finance/banking environment/healthcare).

  • Established skills within project management, change management and business controls / governance.

  • Excellent English language skills and Bachelor’s degree at a minimum

  • Proven experience in collaborations with IT SMEs/specialists to deliver process enhancement / change projects.

  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams including business stakeholders and subject matter experts

  • Demonstrated resilient mentality and willingness to independently define and assess priorities and execute with accountability

  • Excellent communication and detailed business analysis skills including documentation of requirements

  • Planning experience (working to deadlines and prioritisation)

  • Understanding of internal audit processes and experience of implementing findings preferred

  • Experience with CRM/ERP systems and their implementation / management is an advantage.
