AIG Product Development and Underwriting Support Analyst, Accident & Health in Singapore

AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including A&H, Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. How you will create an impact

  • Spearhead all aspect of product development including but not limited to establishing benefits structure, product proposition, service enhancements, research on products in the market, system setup and training of call centre staff.

  • Review of policy wordings, brochures and other materials in compliance with Corporate and Underwriting guidelines.

  • Assist Head of Underwriting and Assistant Underwriting Manager with underwriting requests from all minor lines under Accident and Health including review of coverage scope, setting up sound risk selection criteria and sales and referral underwriting standards.

  • Responsible in providing background information to set up underwriting guidelines of all products including risk selection criteria based on information from portfolio team working with Head of Underwriting and Assistant Underwriting Manager.

  • Work alongside Head of Underwriting/Assistant Underwriting Manager in reviewing and providing corrective action recommendation to address profitability challenges for all minor lines based on close interaction with the claims team to identify trends, fraudulent losses and frequencies.

  • Implement corrective action to protect profitability and monitor outcome.

  • Assist in preparing reports that may be required by management as and when necessary for individual portfolios.

  • Any other projects which may be assigned from time to time.

    What you’ll need to succeed

  • CGI or PGI and BCP, and HI certified.

  • Relevant working experience in the Insurance industry.

  • Knowledge of underwriting concepts, product development is a plus.

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, portfolio management.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Good problem solving, communication, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, analytical and multitasking skills.

  • Outgoing person who is a strong team player with results driven focus and customer centric mindset.
