A food and beverage supervisor in a hotel is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage services. Their duties include:
Managing staff : Directing and scheduling the kitchen, bar, and food and beverage servers
Customer service : Responding to customer feedback and complaints, and ensuring guest satisfaction
Inventory : Maintaining inventory and controlling costs
Menu knowledge : Explaining the food and beverage menu to guests
Dining room : Ensuring the cleanliness and general look of the dining room
Seating : Assisting in seating customers during peak hours
Collaboration : Working closely with the kitchen and service staff
Budget : Adhering to the food and beverage budget
Safety : Ensuring safety for themselves and others in the workplace
Food and safety regulations : Following food and safety regulations
