Later this year, Auckland will welcome New Zealand’s first Hotel Indigo to the neighbourhood. The “City of Sails” will set the backdrop for this boutique upper-upscale hotel, drawing inspiration from local artists for its design, service, amenities, food and beverage. The 225-room hotel will be part of a mixed-use development in Auckland Central, with stunning views of the city and Auckland’s iconic harbour.
To help bring the hotel to life, we’re on the lookout for a team of driven Housekeeping Supervisors. These roles will support the Housekeeping leadership to set up the department and operations to ensure a memorable guest experience is delivered and hotel policies and procedures established.
Ideally this role will start in late September, subject to the completion of the hotel’s construction phases, and will transition to an operational role once the hotel opens.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Being part of history! As part of this pre-opening team, you will be part of setting this beautiful new hotel up ready to receive its first guests
Supporting the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Housekeeping Manager to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals, and Housekeeping team members have the relevant training to set them up for success in their roles
Coordinating rosters and room allocations for arrivals and departures
Responding to guest requests promptly and taking ownership for seeing these through to completion
Assisting with deep cleaning projects and assisting the team during busy periods
What we need from you
A proactive, solutions focused attitude
Proven focus on being a strong team player, and ability to motivate and inspire others
2 years experience in a housekeeping environment (ideally within hotel operations)
Supervisory experience, with a desire to grow into a leadership role
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge and experience with hotel operations and Property Management Systems
Full working rights within New Zealand with no restrictions
