Emerson Business Manager APAC (Power Semiconductor Reliability) in South Korea

Emerson T&M Business Group is growing in the Power Semiconductor SiC and GaN test markets through its acquisition of SET GmbH. Together, we strive to shorten time-to-market for differentiated solutions, facilitating semiconductor-to-transportation supply chain integration for power electronic materials.

Emerson T&M Business Group is actively recruiting an expert Semiconductor Business Manager for the APAC market, focusing on driving business growth, particularly in Power Semiconductor Reliability.

At T&M Business Group, the Business Manager function plays a pivotal role in orchestrating new business growth aligned with T&M strategic business unit goals. Business Managers (BMs) serve as technical and business domain experts, leading the sales team to generate new business opportunities by targeting industry ecosystems and key accounts in their regions. These managers also influence Emerson T&M Business Group’s future product roadmap by providing insights from a regional perspective to support balanced growth.

The Semiconductor BM we are recruiting is a critical position in APAC to lead NI’s growth towards new Semiconductor industry investment and developments trends in the market.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  1. Customer Engagement:

  2. Collaborate with top semiconductor accounts and account managers in the region to solve customers' emerging challenges.

  3. Establish Emerson T&M Business Group's credibility in focused areas.

  4. Market Intelligence:

  5. Continuously collect and analyze driven market intelligence and adoption trends of Emerson/NI's value proposition.

  6. Planning for long-term goals:

  7. Develop and implement a business plan to ensure sustainable growth over the next 1-5 years by collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  8. Technology & Product Development:

  9. Supervise trends in Power Semiconductor Reliability testing across the APAC region.

  10. Collaborate with SET GmbH to build solutions that add customer value and offer feedback for product improvement through research and development.

  11. Leadership Recommendations:

  12. Advise APAC regional leadership on priorities and trade-offs between functionality, cost, and time-to-market.

  13. Ecosystem Development:

  14. Build a network of partners and integrators to promote business growth.

  15. Executive Relationships:

  16. Cultivate executive-level relationships with key customers to provide insights for new product testing strategies.

  17. Global Collaboration:

  18. Work closely with R&D in Germany and global teams to achieve worldwide industry value chain success.

Key Performance Objectives

  1. Drive and exceed revenue growth targets over the next 1-3 years, demonstrating strategic market penetration and business development.

  2. Accomplish early design successes and successfully meet significant breakthroughs with top accounts in target regions and applications.

  3. Leverage extensive proven experience to provide actionable product and roadmap feedback to the Business Unit (BU), aligning development efforts with market needs.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, applications, marketing, or sales in semiconductor foundries or their suppliers.

  • Comprehensive understanding of key markets, technology trends, value chains, and significant players in the foundry industry.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Master’s or equivalent experience" in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) or MBA

  • Specific experience with the SiC/GaN industry is a plus.

  • Proven customer engagement and interpersonal relationship skills.

  • Strong business insight, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Familiarity with the semiconductor R&D and testing processes, including decision-making workflows.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

  • Integrity, logical thinking, active listening, and negotiation.

  • Highly innovative, dedicated, and achievement-focused.
