IHG Area Technology Assistant Manager - Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Maldives in Indonesia
Role Purpose
Responsible for delivering and maintaining technology and systems consistent with IHG’s vision and global strategy in our hotels in SMIPM as well as support the new hotel openings in the SEAK region.
Key Accountabilities
Manage all aspects of new and existing hotel projects
Manage preparation of budgets, presentation to owners and/or designated representatives
Manage owner relationships for new and existing projects.
Work with SEAK new hotels team as well as external parties to open new hotels and conversions.
Vendor management for SMIPM hotels.
Project implementation and management as necessary, to ensure compliance to IHG standards and successful implementation of technology and systems within designated timeline and budgets in our hotels.
Provide 3rd level systems support to Hotels as required
Provide guidance, support, and responses to all technology related issues within sub-region.
Provide leadership to our hotels IT colleagues in SMIPM.
Participation in all Internal and External Audits
Adherence to IHG Procurement Policy when making equipment and software purchases
Key Skills & Experiences
Education –
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience to include:
One or more professional certifications in MCSE or ITIL v3 and / or PRINCE v2 Foundation certificate
Experience in Hospitality industry, with roles focused on technology and infrastructure services
Project Management Professional (PMP) will be an advantage
Experience –
At least 5 years of progressive practical experience within large enterprise, hotel environment will be an advantage
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a multi-cultural environment
Experience in hotel opening projects will be an advantage
Required Skills –
Subject Matter Expert ability in the areas of;
Hospitality property management systems
Financial systems
Purchasing/material management system
Retail/Restaurant point of sales
Good working knowledge of cabling and networking (WiFi) technologies
Good working knowledge of operating system software and utility systems
Good working knowledge of PCI compliance requirements
Good working knowledge of guest in-room systems such as movie systems and guest Internet
Conversant with project management process
