IHG Marketing Coordinator - Semiramis Intercontinental Cairo in Egypt

Because, for this vital role, under the guidance and general supervision of the Assistant Director of Marketing Communications & the Director of Marketing Communications within the limits of established IHG policies Your day-to-day

  • Supports and reports to Director/Assistant of Marketing and Communication through development and management of strategic marketing plans and budgets.

  • Work with senior staff, colleagues, and volunteers to: develop and maintain a strategic perspective and access marketing opportunities.

  • Interacts and cooperates with hotel departments and stakeholders from sales team, F&B team and rooms division.

  • Interacts and cooperates with regional and area offices.

  • Drive R&B and Rooms revenue through media outreach, content creation, and campaign development.

  • To support IHG’s brand-hearted programmes and corporate responsibility strategies.

  • Deploys IHG brand campaigns as well hotel level campaigns and activities.

  • Develop, coordinate and oversee programmes and the appearance of hotel print, social and digital materials/content as it relates to marketing and communications.

  • Handles, updates, uploads and follows up on Hotel Content Manager for marketing related issues.

  • Maintains, collects and manages hotel database as far as marketing campaigns are concerned.

  • Manage and utilize external systems for eDMs, SMS campaigns in collaboration with IT.

  • Own and liaise s monthly communication tools such newsletters,

  • Handles and liaises Responsible Business and charity events and requests as part of the Responsible Business quadrant.

  • Attends Marketing communications events and assist Marketing Communications teams as assigned.

  • Deals with all incoming and outgoing generic correspondence/emails for Marketing Communications including drafting.

  • Maintains and updates hotels photographic and video graphic library.

  • Liaises with printers and follows up on print requests, brand compliance of printing matters under the supervision of direct managers.

  • Coordinate media interest for the hotel and restaurants and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.

  • Liaise partnerships and events that support the coherent and integrated communication of image and brand positioning of the hotel within the marketplace and the public.

  • Handles and liaises Responsible Business and charity events and requests as part of the Responsible Business quadrant.

  • Monitors, collects and files press releases, hotel press clippings on a monthly basis.

  • Drive social media strategy through putting up editorials, content and posts on different social media mediums, sharing and posting content as well monitoring stories and engagement sources.

  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

What we need from you

  • 1-3 years’ experience in same position preferred

  • Previous experience in hotels is preferred

  • Sense of ownership and pride in our performance and its impact on the hotel’s success

  • Story teller and content creator

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Team player

  • Good time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Bsc degree in marketing, or relevant field

  • Excellent English and Arabic language and writing skills
