IHG Manager, Brand PR (Germany) in Germany

The Role

This role may be based remote with the occasional visit to the Frankfurt office from several locations throughout Germany including Munich, Berlin & Hamburg.

In this role, you will develop and deliver PR campaigns and always on PR for IHG’s brands in Germany. As part of the Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa (EMEAA) PR team, you will be responsible for delivering cut-through consumer PR that increases awareness and preference of IHG Hotels & Resorts and our stay brands.

  • Focus on big ideas for brand PR that wins the hearts and minds of consumers, cut through with media, and set our IHG Hotels & Resorts Masterbrand and brands apart from the competition.

  • Drive editorial coverage which focuses on supporting our portfolio of brands in Germany, by tapping into relevant trends or consumer activity.

  • Lead the development and enable the implementation of external PR activity in Germany and across key European markets to deliver global brand objectives, working alongside team members across the Masterbrand Strategy & Awareness team.

  • Prepare media materials including press releases, pitches, presentations, briefing documents etc.

  • Develop 360 communication plans to ensure alignment between all communications functions.

  • Develop and manage the Europe PR calendar in partnership with internal teams and external agencies and establish and maintain media relationships with key media outlets (particular focus on Germany)

  • Manage influencer programmes including selection, negotiation, content review etc. with our influencer agency partners.

  • Effective weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, performance data and analytics to measure PR ROI.

What we need from you

  • Fluent in German, excellent English and any further languages would be valuable, though not essential.

  • Strong experience at a PR Agency or In-house, preferably in an international business.

  • Experience of working within a complex business with a range of stakeholders at all levels

  • Agency management experience

  • Strong writing skills

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the European media landscape including strong media contacts.
