What’s the job?

Working as a Housekeeping Manager , you will ensure all team members are trained and maintaining IHG way of Clean, you will manage the day today team with the support of the Hotel Operations Team. You’ll have ambition, talent, and some essential skills. We’re seeking someone passionate about creating great guest experiences for this vital role.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Handle and assist in department training and orientation of all new hosts and regular trainings to Housekeeping team members to improve job performance, meet guidelines and standards of service and operation.

Demonstrate to Housekeeping team members how to perform each task in job description according to hotel service standard.

Maintain regular and effective communication with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of housekeeping functions.

Monitor daily arrivals according to occupancy report in coordination with the Laundry and Housekeeping management.

Manage and inspect the work of Housekeeping team members ensuring high standard of order, hygiene, sanitation, cleanliness and aesthetic value throughout all service areas and assist when necessary.

Upkeep Holiday Inn brand guidelines and standards of service and operation and strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

What we need from you

The successful candidate must demonstrate that they can effectively work in a multi-tasking environment, be enthusiastic and positive, and have an excellent guest-handling manner. The successful candidate must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role with proven results and includes the following:

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years’ experience in a similar hotel operational setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.

Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Also familiar with various hotel systems including POS, PMS and CRM platforms. Have the knowledge of IHG Way of Clean and its policies on room allocation etc.

You must meet the legal requirements to work in the UAE .
