IHG Demi Chef de Partie (Turkish and Levant Cuisine) at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa in United Arab Emirates

Every plate has the potential to create a memory that lasts a lifetime for our guests. To deliver all this and more, we’re looking for a Demi Chef de Partie with a passion for presentation, dedication to flavour and commitment to setting high standards from workspace to table and beyond.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes for Ancora restaurant, ensuring high-quality standards.

  • Support the Chef de Partie in managing the kitchen's daily operations, including food preparation and overseeing kitchen staff.

  • Supervise a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented according to established recipes and guidelines.

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create and maintain an appealing and diverse menu.

  • Ensure that all food items are prepared in a timely manner and meet the hotel’s quality standards.

  • Monitor stock levels and assist in managing inventory, ensuring minimal wastage and efficient use of ingredients.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work atmosphere.

  • Assist with special events, buffets, and other dining experiences as required.

  • Respond promptly to guest feedback and requests, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in an ala carte restaurant.

  • Culinary diploma or certification in culinary arts or a related field is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentation.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing time effectively.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other departments.

  • Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards in a kitchen environment.

  • Ability to contribute ideas for menu development and culinary innovation.

  • Ability to handle challenges in the kitchen with a calm and efficient approach
