What’s a typical day as an Accounts Payable Clerk? You’ll be:
Providing excellent and responsive customer service to vendors, suppliers, and internal clients.
Responding promptly and professionally to inquiries related to accounts payable.
Verifying invoices, purchase orders, and receipts to ensure compliance with company policies.
Processing accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently.
Resolving invoice discrepancies and issues with vendors and internal departments.
Maintaining organized and up-to-date accounts payable records and assisting with month-end closing procedures.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields, or have commensurate experience with at least two years of relevant experience.
Demonstrate knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Exhibit effective communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate in a virtual, cross-functional, and diverse team environment.
Show flexibility and adaptability in managing change and adjusting to evolving priorities.
Possess advanced skills in MS Excel, including experience with large data sets, and a high level of proficiency in accounting systems (preferably Deltek Costpoint and Cognos analytics).
