Job Summary:

R3 seeks a Training Administrator who will provide clerical and logistical support in the management of Underwater Construction Team ONE (UCT-1) Command Training. The Training Administrator will be responsible for supporting and executing the command’s annual training budget. The Training Administrator will support 3502 NCF courses, Mobile Training Teams (MTTs), Tactical Exercises, Underwater Demolition Exercises, and Diver’s Training Events. Additional tasks include organizing and assisting with the Command General Military Training (GMT) program, management, scheduling, and reporting in various databases, and initiation of shipping documents related to Unit Level Training, and Defense Travel System support for the Training Department Head (DH).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the DH in organizing and monitoring the Command GMT program to ensure completion of approximately ten annual required training topics for approximately 81 military members at the Command.

  • Assist the Readiness Officer in the reporting and updating of the Readiness Cost Reporting Program Training and Personnel Pillars; verifying and ensuring training scores and training completion is entered to reflect unit readiness. Review upcoming training requirements, delinquent periodicities, and identify and report deficiencies to the Training Department Head.

  • Enter all T-Pillar data into the Readiness Cost Reporting Program and update completion notes for submission into the Defense Readiness Reporting System.

  • Manage the Catalog of Navy Training Courses and the Navy Training Reservation System programs to include scheduling and individual training.

  • Manage all Training Records, to include GMT records, lesson plans, schools attended, and qualifications achieved to ensure compliance with applicable instructions.

  • Track and enter all qualifications into ASM and Fleet Training and Management Planning System.

  • Assist the DH in the coordination and scheduling of facility usage with outside activities in support of Unit Level Training to ensure diving, shooting, and explosive ranges are scheduled for use during each CDD’s FRTP cycle.

  • Assist DH in the generation of purchase related documents for the training department to include contracted courses and submit to the Supply Department.

  • Ensure all logistics for Unit Level Training exercises are complete 30 days prior to evolution commencement. To include coordination and scheduling of berthing requirements for attending members, on-site vehicle and fuel requests for remote locations, track required material lists and ensure receipt prior to training evolution.

  • Create shipping documents for training related material shipment to CONUS locations and submit to Supply Department for Transportation Account Code assignment.

  • Assist the DH in the management of the Command’s Defense Travel System vouchers.

  • Provide support to the MTT to review the Command and Command Duty Officer’s performance by conducting analyses and providing fundamental system training.

  • In the role as an “observer” provide support during Unit Level Training Readiness Assessment events and ensure courses are in line with training and assessment.

  • Liaise with NCG TWO N7 and Readiness Manager to conduct thorough analysis of the Command’s Fleet Response Training Plan execution within Home Head Quarters’ guidance and provide recommendations to UCT-1 leadership.

  • Perform Navy Mission Essential Task List and Navy Tactical Task reviews for relevance and provide recommendations for updating based on current requirements.

  • Annual 3502 review to be performed in conjunction with NCG TWO.

Qualifications:

  • Retired or former U.S. Military Senior Enlisted (E-6 and above).

  • First Class Diver, Master Diver, or Diving Officer with six (6) years training support experience.

  • A minimum of three (3) years of Training Readiness Analysis experience with direct support of Department of Defense training readiness analysis programs.

  • Experience with Advanced Skill Management (ASM), Readiness Cost Reporting Program (RCRP), Navy Training Information Management System (NTIMS).

  • Proficiency with using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Teams software.
