Job Description Summary:

The Software Engineer in Test-III (SDET) keeps a keen eye on customer commitments and work collaboratively with engineering counterparts to meet customer commitments. The position must build productive working relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer quality specifications. The position is responsible for the design, implementation, and documentation of code automation. Works on problem analysis and exercises judgment based on situations and data. Productive relationships with senior internal and external contacts in their own area of expertise. Leads the activities to closure independently and takes the necessary help/steps to complete.

Job Description Summary:

As a Software Engineer in Test-III , you would be joining an agile team, consisting of Software & QA Engineers based in Vilnius and abroad. This team will be working on Rocket NoSQL DBMS systems and tools.

The position is accountable for ensuring the quality of one of our 5 database products: UniVerse, UniData, D3, jBASE, and OpenQM. QA Automation Engineers are responsible for designing test cases, executing test cases, and automating manual tests.

Additional information: The position is remote within the perimeter of Lithuania.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : 

  • Create complete test plans based on design specifications and strategies.

  • Independently develop test designs for relatively complex features, employing various testing methodologies.

  • Automate tests using Shell , MV BASIC or Python , and integrate them into regression test suite.

  • Execute regression test suites, demonstrating ability to quickly pinpoint the key issues and generate bug tickets.

  • Document tickets meticulously, include detailed test steps and test results into tickets.

  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment, consult with development engineers while resolving problems.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert within a product component domain.

*Required Qualifications: *

  • Proficiency in programming in one or several languages, with a preference of Python or Shell .

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Minimal 3 year of work experience in automated software testing.

  • Minimal 5 years of experience working in QA preferably in an Agile team environment.

  • Great understanding of QA methodologies.

  • Experience with problem-tracking systems and test case management systems.

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to interact professionally and collaboratively with people from all levels of the organization and across different geographies.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of MultiValue databases.

  • In-depth knowledge of fundamental database concepts, including tables, indexes, transactions, encryption, audit logging, backup and recovery, replication, odbc connection etc.

  • Mastery of Linux commands.

  • Proficiency in using TestComplete automation tool.

  • Familiarity with Pytest.

  • Work experience in an Agile environment (JIRA/Confluence experience is a plus).

Annual salary range for this position is between €39,270.00 - €72,930.00 gross before taxes.

Salary offer for the candidate is determined based on the predefined salary ranges for the position and depends on the level of competence and experience of the candidate.
