Job Summary
Garo, part of Ingersoll Rand group, is the world leader in liquid ring technology and provides customized products and solutions for the most demanding applications in the Oil & Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical industries. We are looking for a Field Service Engineer that will supervise the commissioning of new units (from erection step to start-up) and shall cooperate with Project Team for any possible troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
Commissions new systems at customers‘ premises, following an agenda shared with the Service Manager;
Ensures the customer is ready for the commissioning and has got all the necessary connections and tools, before finalizing agenda and logistic;
Keeps track of the upcoming new systems start-ups;
The function shall also be able to perform compressors overhaul either at job site and production site.
Carries out inspection and refurbishment of liquid ring compressors;
Supports the Service Manager in the preparation and provision of trainings for customers, colleagues, representatives;
Reports issues and technical claims raised during the start-ups and ensures an efficient information flow to grant proper follow-up both to customer and internally;
Troubleshoots systems/compressors providing detailed instructions to internal and external customers;
Supports the draft of the root cause analysis and the identification of the status of eventual technical claims;
Issue offer to customers for site services, according to price policies and Service Manager;
Basic Qualifications
Technical High School
5+ yrs of progressive experience in the manufacturing industry (mechanic / lubrication / plant design and process operation / package installation)
2+ yrs of experience in Service
Familiar and available to frequent business trips
English (fluency in speaking and writing)
A minimum experience in electro-mechanics / electro-technics is a plus
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
Approx. 60-70% of travel to customer sites at international level
