IT Concepts Mid-Level Technical Contracting Recruiter in Vienna, Virginia

IT Concepts seeks a creative and innovative Mid-Level Technical Recruiter to join our team. This position will support the recruiting functions for our business verticals and corporate units. This position is key in identifying and attracting top talent for the organization. This position involves actively sourcing candidates, managing candidate pipelines, and providing full life cycle support from outreach to Hire. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with hiring managers, security/Suitability POCS, and candidates to ensure a seamless and efficient recruitment process.

Responsibilities:

Candidate Sourcing:

  • Utilize various sourcing channels, such as job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and Boolean searches, to identify and engage potential candidates.

  • Conduct proactive searches to build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future positions.

  • Screen resumes and applications to assess candidate qualifications and suitability for specific roles.

  • Conduct initial screenings and assessments to evaluate candidate fit and present shortlisted candidates to recruiters/hiring managers.

Candidate Pipeline Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate data in the applicant tracking system (ATS).

  • Communicate regularly with candidates to provide updates on their application status and gather any additional information required.

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and recruiters/hiring managers.

  • Assist with candidate follow-up activities like reference checks and background screenings.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the recruiting team, Program Managers, Directors, and Corporate positions.

  • Assist with drafting and posting job advertisements on various job boards and internal platforms.

  • Prepare and distribute recruitment-related documents, including offer letters, employment contracts, and onboarding materials.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to recruitment activities.

Recruitment Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, job requirements, and desired candidate profiles.

  • Provide suggestions and insights to improve recruitment processes, tools, and strategies.

  • Assist in creating and refining interview guides, evaluation criteria, and candidate assessment methods.

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment processes, making recommendations for further improvements.

  • Collaborating with the HR department to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations and reporting requirements.

Day to day:

  • Perform full lifecycle recruiting of cleared and un-cleared talent.

  • Utilize the Applicant Tracking System to attract, engage, and hire candidates.

  • Maintain Applicant Tracking System with accurate and well-ordered documentation on candidates and requisitions.

  • Source talent by utilizing job boards, social media, referrals, and other methods.

  • Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates

  • Provide proposal and incumbent capture support by working directly with Business Development. And Service Delivery teams

  • Perform in-depth sourcing of passive candidates by using creative forms of online search (Boolean, social networking, LinkedIn).

  • Building positive relationships with Hiring Managers and internal and external stakeholders.

  • Conduct candidate pre-screening interviews to assess company and project cultural fit, competency, and technical understanding.

  • Coordinate and confirm interview schedules, agendas, directions, new-hire instructions, and onboarding.

  • Perform salary negotiations to close at or below the determined salary requirements for the position

  • Provide pre-onboarding support as assigned (pre-hire documentation, security processes, etc.)

  • Continuously promote the ITC brand and culture

  • Conduct job and tack intake calls with Hiring Managers to assess job duties and requirements

  • Stay current on technical trends in the government sector

Location: Prefer within commuting distance to Tysons Corner, VA, but willing to consider hybrid options if highly qualified.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in full-lifecycle technical recruiting

  • 5+ years of experience directly supporting federal government contracting and federal government customers.

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred), substitution with 4+ years of additional experience and recruiting certification.

  • Technical IT, Data Engineering, and developer background to support technical recruiting positions.

  • Previous experience supporting and hiring for DOD-cleared roles up to TS/SCI with CI polygraph, and familiar with public trust suitability processes.

  • Experience with intake calls, sourcing, maintaining a positive customer experience/engagement, conflict management, and creative out-of-the-box thinking

  • Problem solver- quick to learn and willing to troubleshoot independently or find resources to solve problems.

  • Proven ability to build relationships and engage all stakeholders to arrive at optimal outcomes

  • Knowledgeable of Applicant Tracking Systems (Workable preferred)

  • Knowledge and extensive use of Job Boards and Social Media platforms (strong presence on LinkedIn, and other platforms)

  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills

  • Excellent written communication skills (detail-oriented without oversite)

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

  • Ability to work independently and with a high-performing talent acquisition team.

  • Self-motivated to complete tasks as needed promptly

Preferred:

  • Recruiting Certifications/training throughout your career

  • Experience with talent acquisition for IT and Human Capital positions supporting VA, DHA, DOD, Intel, and other Federal Gov. Customers)

  • Ability to write and edit process updates/changes

Clearance:

  • US Citizen, in continental United States

  • Willing and able to get a Public Trust or Secret level clearance as needed for contracts.
