Area of Focus:Behavioral Health
Program(s):Behavioral Health - Outpatient Mental Health Programming helps individuals build life skills and well-being through behavioral health counseling, psychiatric care, and other care coordination and support services. SUPR provides those impacted by substance misuse and their families with intervention, recovery support, and treatment services that focus on the unique needs of the individual and the community.
Immediate Supervisor:Program Manager
[Counselor/ Therapist job]{markjs="true" ogac="" ogab="" ogsc="" ogsb=""}duties include, but are not limited to:
Interviews and evaluates consumers, establishes diagnoses. Develops treatment plan collaboratively with consumers by defining goals, specific outcomes and time-frames for treatment. Monitors consumer\'s behavior.
Provides counseling and clinical services to consumers experiencing problems due to their own or another\'s substance use.
Intervenes therapeutically to change attitudes, beliefs and behaviors of consumers to address concerns related to mental health diagnosis and to improve individual and family level of functioning.
Provides crisis intervention to stabilize consumer\'s condition by utilizing short-term crisis intervention techniques and/or referral to other support services.
Carries a caseload as assigned by the Substance Use Programs Coordinator.
Completes required monthly direct service hours to consumers as defined on yearly Direct Service Requirement sheet.
Plans, develops, and facilitates group programs to be used with consumers.
Provides andarranges transportation services to consumers which they translate to their natural environment
Effectively teaches life-management skills to consumer which they translate to their natural environment.
