Boehringer Ingelheim Research Laboratory Scientist: Cancer Immunology in Vienna, Austria

The position

We are seeking a highly motivated Lab Scientist to join our Cancer Immunology team in Vienna. You will be given the opportunity to join an early-stage R&D projects directly feeding into our preclinical immunotherapy portfolio. Collaborative, well-connected teams are key to our success. Therefore, we are looking for candidates who are strong team players. This is a limited contract for 2 years.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Join a research team responsible for the pre-clinical characterization of novel cancer immunotherapies

  • Tissue culture, isolation of primary immune cells, co-culture of different cell types

  • Establish biochemical and cell-based assays for the in vitro characterization of antibody therapeutics

  • Independent execution, evaluation and documentation of experiments

Requirements

  • A degree in biology/biochemistry/molecular biology or equivalent (MSc.)

  • Prior experience around at least 2-3 years with immunological techniques (e.g. flow cytometry), with a background in T-cell biology

  • Team oriented with good communication skills

  • Excellent written and spoken English, and good German skills is a plus

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective bargaining agreement for this position is EUR 46.305 (full time). For the actual salary the industry benchmark as well as your qualifications and experiences are taken into consideration.
