Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking Civil CAD Technologists to join our highly successful water practice.
Your Key Responsibilities
Preparing engineering drawings for municipal projects with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Preparing plan, profile, grading, cross-sections, surface design for water, storm, and wastewater piping, and roadways design from concept to final.
Preparing presentation graphics and report figures.
Coordinating project drawings with project managers, technical staff, and others.
Completing model reviews and collaborating with other technical disciplines.
Ensuring that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
Understanding and adhering to Stantec and client standards.
Complete site inspections of civil projects.
Review and incorporate topographic surveys into the design and as-built surveys into record drawings.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
Strong communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere.
Highly organized, have significant attention to detail, are able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
Required comprehensive experience in:
- Civil 3D and pipe networks
- AutoTurn or Vehicle tracking
Experience in the following is considered an asset:
- Autodesk BIM 360 and ProjectWise
- Autodesk Recap
- Microsoft Team
Education and Experience
A Civil Technologist Diploma / Geomatics Technologist Diploma.
Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience, and a comprehensive knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Attention to Pipe Networks and Corridors will be an asset.
Experience and familiarity with Metro Vancouver, municipal, urban development, wastewater, and water resources disciplines and/or an education background in these areas.
Experience with MS Office Suite including Word, and Excel.
Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Potential growth to a leadership or supervisor role.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):
Salary Range(s):
- Lower Mainland $60,200 - Lower Mainland $$84,300 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
