Landscape Laborer - 25 fulltime, temporary, peakload (H-2B) jobs available 03/01/2025-12/15/2025
Employer: Benson Enterprises of New York, Inc. dba Benson Enterprises, 1986 Bennett Road, Victor, NY 14564.
Duties: Cut, trim, water lawns and flower beds; clean up, weed, plant, spread mulch, rake, blow leaves. May operate vehicles. Able to lift 50 lbs.
Daily transportation will be provided to and from a central location (1986 Bennett Road, Victor, NY 14564) to worksites in following counties: Ontario, Monroe, Livingston, Wayne and Yates.
Pre-employment drug testing required, at employer expense. Pre-hire background check required, at employer expense. All drug testing is performed without regard to an employee's citizenship or immigration status. All background checks are performed equally as to H-2B workers and U.S. workers.
No experience or education required. Employer will provide on-the-job training and accept trainees.
Work days: Mon-Fri, schedule varies/rotating schedule, some weekends as needed, 7am-4:30pm, 40 hrs/week, Workers will be paid weekly on Friday, at $18.76-21.50/hr and $28.14-$32.25/hr OT. Raise at employer's discretion.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. Employer may make payroll deductions at employees' request (must comply with NYS Miscellaneous Wage Order). Percentage of 401K offered.
Employer facilitates voluntary housing arrangements (optional).
The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the job. Employer will provide and maintain company-specific uniforms at no cost to the worker.
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for initial transportation and subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of employment for those traveling from such a distance they are not reasonably able to return to their residence each day. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.
The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59 per day with receipts.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
