News Corp Australia Client Insight Manager in VIC, Australia

What’s the role?

We looking for a Client Insight Manager to join our sales team to help drive business growth and enhancing client satisfaction. This position plays a pivotal role by leveraging data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making.

This role requires a blend of analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to uncover actionable insights that drive client engagement, loyalty, and retention.

This is a max-term contract to cover maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather data from various sources, including client surveys, transactional data, market research, and external databases.

  • Utilise statistical methods and data analysis techniques to extract meaningful insights from large datasets.

  • Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in client behavior to understand key drivers of client satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Develop and maintain client segmentation models based on demographic, behavioural, and psychographic factors.

  • Conduct in-depth profiling of client segments to understand their unique needs, preferences, and pain points.

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to tailor messaging, products, and services to different client segments

  • Translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for internal stakeholders.

  • Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate key findings and recommendations.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure insights are incorporated into business strategies and initiatives.

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) related to client satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.

  • Monitor and track KPIs over time to assess the effectiveness of client engagement efforts.

  • Identify opportunities for optimisation and continuous improvement based on data analysis and insights.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.

  • Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark our performance against key competitors and identify areas for differentiation.

  • Provide strategic recommendations based on market insights to support business growth objectives.

Who are you?

  • Experience working in a sales, media, product or integration team within media, advertising, marketing or publishing industries preferable

  • Knowledge of relevant audience tools and survey building platforms including Nielsen, Adobe Analytics and Asteroid (Roy Morgan) preferable

  • Familiarity with statistical research packages including SPSS, Q Software

  • Exposure to both qualitative and quantitative research practices

  • Proven experience in leveraging client insights and analytics to drive business decisions and improve client satisfaction and retention. This includes experience with client segmentation, profiling, and behavior analysis to identify opportunities for strategic growth.

  • Ability to lead and unlock insights to support the development of strategic thinking

  • Experienced and capable of visualising data in engaging and story building ways.

  • A proven track record of delivering results and achieving key performance indicators related to client satisfaction, retention, and business growth. Experience in setting and exceeding performance targets and driving measurable impact is essential.

  • Ability to think strategically and develop insights-driven strategies to address business challenges and capitalise on market opportunities.

  • A solid understanding of the industry or market in which the organisation operates is beneficial. Experience working in a similar industry or role allows the Client Insights Manager to better understand client needs, preferences, and competitive dynamics.
