The Doe Run Company is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to manage company expenditures by overseeing the daily activities of the Accounts Payable Department and the Pcard Program and providing timely vendor maintenance. This position is located at our Central Office in Viburnum, MO.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable: Oversee and manage the accounts payable process.
- Supervise Accounts Payable department employees, ensuring invoices are entered in a timely manner and that discounts are taken advantage of; resolve issues related to vendor satisfaction.
- Administer the contract with DataServ, or other third-party invoice processing vendor.
- Vendor file maintenance: Maintain the vendor master database (i.e. Accounts Payable vendor file).
- Administer the Pcard and Commercial Card programs.
- Issue vendor 1099s after calender year end.
- Maintain EHS (environmental, health and safety) compliance by holding direct reports accountable for adherence to EHS policies, procedures and best practices; evaluating employee EHS performance via field observations and document review; reporting and correcting unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and providing feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in accounts payable.
- Minimum 2 years prior supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced computer skills, including ERP (PeopleSoft) and DataServ (invoicing).
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (esp. Excel and Word).
- Knowledge of requirements for 1099 reporting.
- Organized with attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Proficient leadership skills to coach and lead teams to support workflow.
Environmental Conditions, Physical and Lifting Requirements:
- Regularly utilize telephone, computer and calculator.
- Work is generally performed in a standard office setting.
- Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; frequently required to talk, hear, and perform repetitive movement; occasionally required to stand and walk. Requires clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
- May be required to lift up to 5 pounds.
