Description Robert Half is looking for a talented Desktop Support Technician who is able to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an easily understandable and concise format for a company in the Machinery Manufacturing industry. Problem solvers who enjoy working in a challenging and positive environment may do well in this Desktop Support Technician position. Located in the Verona, Virginia, area, this Desktop Support Analyst role is long-term contract / temporary to hire in nature.
Your responsibilities in this role
Keep up, explore, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
Match hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
Develop records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
Administer computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
Offer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
Settle computer problems, and offer suggestions on appropriate action/solutions Requirements - Solid understanding of Network Administration
Ability to quickly write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
