Actalent Quality Technician in Vernon Hills, Illinois
Overview:

Description:
Responsible for ensuring proper Food Safety and Quality during the production of a variety of raw and cooked meat products.
Will be working on the production floor completing line checks, monitoring critical control points.
Coordinating lab testing to ensure overall quality of the entire food manufacturing process.
Will be responsible for accurate and timely documentation of Quality Checks, management of Inventory, and supporting audits.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
High School education or higher.
1 Year+ of experience of food safety & quality experience in the food industry.
Understanding of Danger Zones for temperatures related to Meat Products.
Knowledge of HACCP, USDA regulations, GMPs, Quality Assurance, and Food Microbiology.
Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and procedures.
Experience with Food Safety Audit Expectations and Requirements.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Analytical skills and communication ability.
Must be able to work on feet and in a Cold Environment.
Ability to make quick decisions to hold production when required.
