Description We are inviting applications for the role of an Accounting Manager/Supervisor based in Vernon, California. The selected candidate will play a significant role in our team, focusing on a wide range of accounting functions including tax, financial and compliance reporting, inventory management, and recording and timely reporting of accounting records/transactions. This role also includes involvement in the optimization phase of our newly implemented Microsoft Dynamics (D365) ERP.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, and tax.

• Handle financial and compliance reporting, monthly balancing, and inventory management.

• Record and report accounting records/transactions in a timely manner.

• Lead the optimization phase of our newly implemented Microsoft Dynamics (D365) ERP.

• Oversee product costing, forecasting, and the annual budget.

• Develop and prepare the Finance teammates for future opportunities.

• Lead, uphold, and initiate safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and prepare financial statements and reports.

• Conduct month-end close activities and prepare month-end reports.

• Carry out balance sheet account reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliation.

• Handle sales tax matters and prepare journal entries. Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor for at least 5 years

• Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing sector accounting

• Proficiency in managing month-end close activities, including financial analysis and reporting

• Demonstrated ability in preparing and auditing financial statements

• Extensive knowledge of balance sheet account reconciliation, including bank and credit card reconciliations

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial analysis as required

• Proficiency in preparing and managing journal entries, specifically month-end journal entries

• Experience in financial management and reporting

• Proficiency in sales tax calculations and submissions

• Ability to consolidate financial statements from multiple business units or subsidiaries

• Adept at monthly journal entries and month-end journal entries

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required

• CPA or relevant qualification is advantageous

• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods

• Ability to work with (ERP) systems

• An analytical mind with a strategic ability

• Strong ethics, with a customer-oriented attitude

• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to manage and guide a team.
