Department Overview The social work department provides emotional support and counseling to children and their families. They provide crisis intervention services, help with adjustment issues, grief and loss counseling, mental health assessments, case coordination, community advocate support, and short-term therapeutic interventions. The social work internship program provides intense working experience within the Social Work Department at Children's Minnesota. We place an emphasis on candidates with a strong background in cultural awareness and issues related to equity and diversity. We are interested in supporting students while working from an equity lens, and are committed to educating and supporting students who reflect the diversity of the patients and families we serve. The summer 2025 interns hip is available with social work on our St. Paul campus in our ED unit. Candidates need to be in a Masters-level social work program and completing their clinical (advanced) practicum. In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
