The Technical Services Field Engineer is accountable for the repair and maintenance of all customers equipment covered under service contract within their designated region; this should be documented and carried out in an organized and professional manner. In conjunction with this a field service engineer is employed to offer technical support to customers through element of technical training, answering technical queries and general advice acting always to meet customer's needs, implement Quality improvements and assure 'gold standard' in all aspects of Stryker Services. The Technical Services Field Engineer will adhere to all company policies, standards and procedures; and accepts responsibility for the continuous improvement of the overall well being of the relationship between customers and Stryker.

Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives.

This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. Roles typically require a university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience. Job requires an understanding and application of procedures and concepts of own discipline. The job requires the ability to make judgements based on practice and previous experience. This job typically requires a degree or equivalent and no experience.

  • Develop understanding of Comms / Medsurg product portfolio to enable technical and critical thinking and facilitate surgical procedures as well as support others using the equipment

  • Responsible for trouble shooting and maintaining the overall status of Stryker equipment

  • Provide proactive service and Field action in dedicated area

  • Performing yearly preventative maintenance

  • Focus on improving the quality of service within the main accounts in the dedicated area

  • Manage internal routine admin and quality assignments

What You Need:

  • Qualifications / education required: Educated to degree level or / and experience / knowledge in at least one of the following: Electrical / Mechanical / Medical / Telecommunications Engineering

  • Speaks fluently Finnish and English

  • Experience required: 2-5 years, with experience of Med tech business or similar field service technical experience or health care environment

  • Any other particular aptitude / skill required: Ability to think independently, use sound judgement, prioritize; make quick decisions and problem-solve.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work both independently and as part of a team on assignments.

  • IT literate.

  • Product training Desirable Theatre Skills, Product knowledge and experience of theatre environment
