Description:
Title: AV/VTC Technician
Location: Onsite in Vandenberg, AFB
Citizenship/Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance. This position supports a government contract.
Responsibilities
-Provide support for Audio Visual programming, engineering, and installation to DoD organizations
-Resolve system operational problems by troubleshooting and performing fault isolation
-Repair, replace, or reprograms faulty equipment, as required
-Schedule VTC sessions, deconflict conference room assets, and ops check VTC services with outside agencies for executive level users
-Perform setup, testing, adjustments, operations, and shutdowns of equipment in support of VTC sessions
-Provide client consulting and training on control, interfaces, and use of the audio/visual and VTC equipment
-Provide life cycle refresh projections for AV/VTC infrastructure and AV equipment build out projects
-Conduct site surveys to establish AV/VTC Systems and equipment customer requirements
-Provide on-site support primarily at main customer site location; provides occasional alternate or satellite site support and/or travel as needed
-Evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, maintain, operate, remove and upgrade, and modify audio visual and video teleconferencing equipment systems
Required Experience/Qualifications
Minimum Education: Associates Degree in related field or 5-7 years of relevant experience
Minimum Experience: No Less than 3-5 years current experience in designing, installing, and configuring AV/VTC systems
-Ability to perform duties in the DOD classified and unclassified environments
-Knowledge and use of IEEE 802.3 Ethernet, TCP/IP, QoS, ISDN, Firewall, SIP, H.323, relevant video standards as well as DoD Video Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) processes, familiarity with and ability to comply with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) operational guidelines
-Working knowledge of SIP, H323, H320, H460, TLS, RTP, SRTP, TCP/IP and UDP; content control protocols, video compression standards; packet analyzers; networking fundamentals; Tandberg and Cisco video and voice technologies
-Working knowledge and experience configuring Tandberg/Cisco/Codecs
-Experience in CAT5/6 and fiber optic cable physical installation
-Experience in AV equipment physical installation including the ability to lift 40lbs above your head
Special Requirements/Security Clearance
MUST have an ACTIVE DOD TS/SCI Security Clearance.
