Location: Vancouver, Washington * Type: Contract * Job #7829 Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This System Administrator position will ensure sustainable, stable, and secure enterprise-level servers, handling backup recovery, performance tuning, upgrades/patches, maintenance, troubleshooting, permissions, and file sharing. This role involves installing, configuring, and supporting LAN, WAN, and Internet systems, monitoring network availability, and performing necessary maintenance for continuous access. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA. Pay Rate: $37.29 - $53.28 Benefits: * Paid holidays: 11 * PTO: Starting at 10 days * Sick Leave: Up to 56 hours per year (prorated based on start date) * EAP: Employee Assistance Program * Benefit Options Available: Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, DCA, LPFSA, HSA, Group Life/AD&D, Voluntary Life/AD&D, Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Voluntary Long-Term Disability, Voluntary Critical Illness, Voluntary Accident, 401k (immediately eligible for employee and employer contributions - employer match up to 4%) * Other benefits include the following: Calm App, Access Perks Responsibilities: * Provide professional technical system administration, support, and assistance in planning and implementing software projects critical to Transmission Services. * Assist with and provide recommendations on the interpretation of design specifications. * Provide recommendations and assist with approved complex, EMS technical designs. * Develop, write and recommend code and test plans for software that addresses business needs and complies with project documentation requirements; following approved test plans and established deployment procedures, perform testing and deployment activities. * Facilitate, collaborate, and work with an internal development team reviewing the viability and optimum use of various development methodologies. * As requested, code, test, configure, stage, migrate, maintain, and document various vendor and in-house applications to provide solutions that support business requirements. * As requested, provide technical evaluation, including weighted recommendations on potential technology solutions. * Design, develop, and recommend software changes to improve performance for review and approval; install and implement management-approved changes. * Serve as a subject matter technical resource for dual instances of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and ICCP real-time Energy Management System software for Control Centers (CCs), Dittmer and Munro. This work includes administer, install, maintain, and modify above systems, including: * Recommend system / software modifications as need arises; implement approved changes. * Run utility programs to compile, test, debug, and install software. * Provide general application maintenance support including timely response to customer trouble reports, troubleshooting and analysis of problems, developing and coordinating corrective actions, and modifying, testing, and integrating code fixes. * Provide application administration and development support including functional analysis, reviewing functional requirements, technical system analysis and design, develop, test, integrate and document application software, displays and databases. * Recommend software solutions and procedures to recover from malfunctions to keep downtime to a minimum; facilitate and drive implementation of approved solutions. * Draft / develop operational procedures for computer operators, the Network and System Operations Center (N-SOC), software staff, and other users as required. * Mark documents and maintain filing system(s), files, emails and records in accordanc To view the full job description,
