Clark College Part-time Digital Printing Operator in Vancouver, Washington
Clark College is currently accepting applications for a part-time, permanent hourly Classified Digital Printing Operator position. This position performs specialized technical duties in support of the Production Printing department. The work shifts are sporadic and will vary Monday-Friday: between 8 am-4:00 pm and may be between 0-17 hours per week depending on department workload. - Operate one or more office machines such as high-speed photocopiers, scanners, wide format printer, cutter, folder, laminator and other bindery machines.
- Perform bindery duties including cutting, laminating, padding, collating, stapling, numbering, binding (spiral, coil and booklet), and hand or machine folding.
- Perform delivery service functions: 1-2 times daily across the college campus using an electric cart. This service includes delivering paper for campus copiers, printers and fax machines, as well as the delivering of printed materials.
- Assist with inventory, receiving, billing and other clerical duties as directed.
- Provide exemplary customer service to students, colleagues and the college community via phone, email and in-person.
- Perform other duties as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES: Candidates will be evaluated based on application materials, including the supplemental questions and personal interview(s), and will be required to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:
- High School Graduation or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- Two (2) years of driving experience.
- One (1) year of printing and bindery experience.
- Experience operating high-speed copiers.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and specialized database systems, or comparable software.

- Ability to operate high-speed copier/printer and bindery equipment.
- Ability to work a variety of hours to meet operational needs and activities of the department.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to bend/stoop/stand/sit for the length of the shift and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Ability to perform tasks which require the use of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
- The initial appointment will include a 6-month probationary period and the employee will earn permanent status after successfully completing probation.
