Maintenance Manager

MISSION / SUMMARY:

Directs and controls the activities of the Maintenance and Engineering function to ensure that all production and support equipment is maintained at levels which are as efficient and reliable as possible. Ensures that the facility itself is maintained and is a safe work environment. Manage plant-wide maintenance and capital program maximizing asset reliability, uptime, and cost effectiveness with available resources. Ensures that the facility itself is maintained and is a safe work environment.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Provide direct supervision, technical direction, administrative support, and leadership for the maintenance department

  • Ensures machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate

  • Manage plant-wide maintenance and capital, maximizing asset reliability, uptime, and cost effectiveness with available resources

  • Assist HS&E Manager with plant environmental programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations

  • Support and manage the RCM process in the plant, as well as, in the Division, ensuring application and advancement of the RCM process.

  • Provide long-range planning for facility and equipment needs including capital and major repairs

  • Develops, implements, and oversees predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance programs

  • Coaches and develops training plans for all maintenance technicians

  • Supervises the Maintenance Technicians, Storeroom, and Project Engineer.

  • Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork

  • Ensures that SQF standards are maintained.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-10 years maintenance experience preferred

  • Supervisory/Management experience

  • Computer Maintenance Management Systems (preferably SAP)

  • Planning and Scheduling

  • Preventative/Predictive/Precision Maintenance

  • Central Stores Management

  • Reliability Engineering

  • Proven track record of identifying opportunities and the ability to recommend and implement improvements

  • Project Management

  • Leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

  • Previous environmental experience is a plus

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical discipline; or equivalent experience

SKILLS:

  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to positively influence people

  • Good organizational skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to motivate people to perform at higher levels

  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork to ensure safe and efficient operations

  • Ability to align with and champion company and mill policies and procedures

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

  • General schedule is an M-F assignment, with rotating weekend/night call coverage. Employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so. Schedule includes weekend rotation coverage.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods up to 8-hours.

  • Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.

  • Wear PPE when required: Hard Hat, safety glasses, hearing protection etc.

  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.

  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.

  • Confined space entry of equipment and vessels during outages.

  • Walking down all process areas and equipment.

Pay Range: $93,030.00 - $124,005.00
