SIGMADESIGN has collaborated with a full-service electronics manufacturing company seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join their facility in Vancouver, WA. This company provides prototype and full-turnkey production services for a wide range of customers in the medical, defense, aerospace, unmanned systems, industrial and instrumentation sectors.

Primary Function:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating various manufacturing equipment, ensuring adherence to work instructions, and contributing to the efficiency and quality of the production process.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
Operate Europlacer pick and place machines per work instructions.
Load Europlacer trolleys per work instructions.
Review Europlacer PROMON data to help evaluate machine issues while running product.
Operate convection and vapor phase reflow ovens per work instruction.
Operate Stencil print equipment per work instructions.
Operate X-ray machine per work instructions.
Operate 3D AOI system per work instructions.
Operate the SPI system per work instructions.
Operate the Vision Master per work instructions.
Operate in line and batch washers per work instructions.
Assisting with AOI review stations with the inspectors.
Complete Preventative Maintenance on machines as required.
Actively participate in Lean activities and embrace change, as a minimum give feedback regarding changes to ensure stability and sustainability.
Follow the procedures as defined in the QMS that pertain to your area or position. Help update procedures and work instructions as needed to match current process.
Use the MES to track time the status of jobs.
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)
2 years of experience operating SMT machines
Experience operating a pick and place machine
Experience operating Europlace pick and place machines.
IPC-A- 610 and J-STD-001 certified
Become IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certified and retain those certifications.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
Good writing skills
Ability to work within a team
Basic computer skills.
Meet production requirements: Ability to read, understand, and navigate in Fusion documentation, Pass the Component Identification quiz, and In-process inspect accurately.
Work Environment:
Standard machine shop environment with various types of machinery. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
