Jungle Scout Associate DevOps Engineer in Vancouver, British Columbia
At Jungle Scout, we are on a mission to empower entrepreneurs and brands to grow successful e-commerce businesses, and provide the industry-leading data, powerful tools, and resources they need.
We?re growing and we are looking to add an Associate DevOps Engineer to our fast-paced Delivery team! At Jungle Scout we?re customer obsessed and part of that obsession is making sure our customers have the best experience possible with our products. So our delivery team is focused on more than just keeping the lights on but ensuring that from top to bottom our infrastructure can support the incredible features and applications our developers make increases the customer experience.
If your heart is racing with excitement, let's dig in :)
What you?ll do:
Learn to Build. Support work on architecting, implementing, maintaining and improving continuous deployment, monitoring, alerting, scaling and logging tooling across our applications.
Collaborate. Work with your team to constantly improve and unblock the development workflow.
Support recommendations. You will play a role in the way we make decisions around technologies to be used for new applications and development procedures.
Participate and contribute. Work with your team as they support product owners at the fruition of new features to help shape and continually improve processes, propose solutions and create iterations.
Learn the ropes of oncall. Jungle Scout engineers don?t throw code over the wall, our engineers are on the on-call rotation as well as the delivery team so they are equally invested in ensuring our applications are resilient. You?ll learn the ropes and grow in your incident response capabilities.
Let?s break it down?
In the first 30 days, you will:
Gain an understanding of our platforms and existing DevOps process.
Learn and support the ongoing work on Infrastructure as a code using Terraform (Gruntwork?s reference architecture, AWS best practices).

Learn from and support the DevOps team to deliver Infrastructure as Code for Web applications.
Participate in OnCall support and rotation schedule of critical projects.
Support the business in resolving internal customer issues like access management.

Learn and support team members by sharing technical knowledge and being proactive in discovering new knowledge.
Learn, understand and contribute in DevOps best practices, standards and processes

An IaC tool, we use Terraform.
