UCLA Health Sr. Storekeeper - Van Nuys, Materials Management in Van Nuys, California
Description
This Sr. Storekeeper position works primarily in a warehouse environment in Van Nuys. You will perform receiving functions, stock, pick/pack, and deliver medical supplies to various UCLA Health's hospital and ambulatory clinics.
Responsibilities include:
Complete shipments by processing and loading orders and ensure all goods are in excellent condition
Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
Completes deliveries by driving truck or van
Maintains truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements
Accurately processes all necessary paperwork/documentation
Enforces inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and report any missing or lost inventory to management
Preserves safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat
Salary Range: $23.27-28.92 Hourly
This is a full-time career position eligible for full benefits.
Qualifications
Required:
Current CA Driver's License with good driving record (subject to DMV Pull).
Pallet Jack Certification.
Ability to operate a University vehicle to deliver supplies to multiple off-site locations.
Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to utilize heavy duty transport carts, furniture dollies, supply dollies, order picker, cargo van, box truck, electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and forklift.
Ability to understand and adhere to the healthcare regulations for infection control.
Ability to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrated basic knowledge of materials management information system and other vendor software.
Demonstrate the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to understand and adhere to Materials Management / Receiving and UCLA Policies and procedures
Demonstrated communications skills, ability to maintain good guest relations interdepartmentally, intra-departmentally, using English language in both written and verbal format.
Demonstrate good telephone etiquette.
Ability to work in a diverse environment including co-workers, patients, and family members, in a courteous and respectful manner.
