What You'll Do:

As a Regional Controller , you will oversee and manage the financial operations across multiple long-term health care facilities. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance within our regional network of long-term care facilities. This position is ideal for a results-driven individual with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial regulations and accounting practices in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities of a Regional Controller:

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each facility, ensuring compliance with GAAP. Provide detailed financial analysis and interpretation to senior leadership to drive strategic decision-making.

  • Assist in supervising a team of accountants and finance professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development to ensure high performance.

  • Direct responsibility for maintaining corporate general ledger and allocations to subsidiary nursing home facilities.

  • Work closely with the Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll departments to ensure seamless financial transactions and reporting. Collaborate to resolve any discrepancies in payments, receipts, and payroll processing, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and financial regulations.

  • Ensure all financial operations comply with industry regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and state-specific laws. Assist in audits, maintain appropriate documentation, and manage the timely filing of required reports.

  • Project reporting for-profit entities, HUD mortgages and other regulatory reports.

Rate of Pay

USD $120,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.

What You'll Bring:

Qualifications of a Regional Controller include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field. CPA designation and/or MBA is preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting within the healthcare industry, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements, specifically in the healthcare industry.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts.
