New York Medical College Research Compliance Administrator in Valhalla, New York

Overview

The candidate will report to the Vice President of Research. Incumbent will manage all aspects of ongoing research studies’ compliance records. Candidate will be responsible for design and implementation of all tasks relating but not limited to: clinical trial contracts, confidential disclosure agreements, material transfer agreements. This individual will work with department administrators and PIs to provide training and guidance to ensure compliance with relevant rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the Office of Research Administration, including sending out instructions to complete Touro/NYMC confidentiality disclosure agreements, COI and CITI training and confirm completion. The position is also responsible for handling the patent portfolio for the college.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement consent forms throughout applicable levels of the college.

  • Ensuring all conflict-of-interest assessments are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Develop and implement SOPs, project-specific procedures, training programs and technical guidance documents as they relate to research risk mitigation.

  • Actively assist Touro University and New York Medical College faculty researchers with the patent and licensing process as needed, with the goal of establishing new licensing agreements and expanding the patent portfolio.

  • Interface with ORA, IRB, WMC and other research offices for compliance records as needed.

  • Provide updates on progress to the VP and prepare presentations as needed.

Qualifications

Education requirment:Bachelor's degree in business management, health administration, or related.

Licenses or certifications:

  • Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Training

  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

    Technical/ Computer Skills:

  • Prior familiarity with CITI Program, lab, animal and human subject policies and regulations are strongly preferred (e.g., Mentor Sitero, REDCAP, IAUCUC, IRB, etc.)

  • Strong IT skills, including excellent knowledge of various software programs and packages including MS Word, Excel, Access.

  • And/or other internal or commercial software tools and proven ability to learn and apply new software quickly as projects require.

    Prior experience:Minimum of three to four years of related professional experience.

    Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task and meet established deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Attention to detail, self-starter, well organized as well as good communication skills.

  • Ability to form and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, faculty, and other collaborators.

  • Have, or prepare to have, an in-depth understanding of all laws and policies related to research administration to best mitigate risk for the college and its scientific community.

  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a project team and independently is essential.

  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively apply knowledge and skills in a highly organized fashion while adhering to required guidelines, SOPs and client expectations.

  • Good organizational and analytical/problem-solving skills.

Minimum Salary

USD $130,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary

USD $140,000.00/Yr.
